Mapping Beit Iksa: RIWAQ’s 50 Villages Project 

With RIWAQ, I worked on preservation interventions under the 50 Historic Villages Project. This project follows RIWAQ’s comprehensive architectural survey which found 50% of historic buildings of the West Bank and Gaza to be in rural areas. The 50 Villages initiative aims to restore historic buildings in these villages and therefore empower communities by offering means to improve their environment and living conditions.

For Beit Iksa, a Palestinian village in the Jerusalem Governorate, I compiled, digitized, and analyzed data obtained through site-visits. I conducted direct land surveys for the village, finalizing a comprehensive parcel and roads map for reference.
